We often lose ourselves in relationships whether as a parent or partner, in our job or when our health fails us. When disconnection arises, we stop living the lives we were meant to live. Depression, anxiety, insomnia, digestive disorders are just a number of stress-related symptoms that we face when we are not living our dharma.

Join Alicia and Alina for an intimately heartfelt and adventurous, "Journey into the Self: A Mindful Living Retreat to Spark Connection, Creativity and Intuition".

This mindfulness-based retreat will not only leave you feeling reconnected and refreshed, but it will also provide you with a plethora of opportunities to explore Bali, also known as the Island of the Gods. You will embark on a journey of spiritual transformation and awakening, and also get a real taste of Balinese culture and its many special rituals and practices.

We will head to the quietude of the mountains surrounded by dense, tropical rainforest and lush, (organically grown) rice fields. Leaving behind the hustle and bustle of the city, you will instead immerse yourself in this beautiful landscape with the delightful sounds of nature-cicadas, chanting priests, frogs, and some of Bali's most tropical birds singing their song throughout the day.

Each day will start with 30 minutes of mindfulness meditation, followed by tea and fruit, morning dharma talks (including yoga psychology, philosophy, mindfulness techniques and practice, enhancing listening skills, deepening intimacy and more), and a juicy, slow flow asana practice. Lunch breaks will allow you time to rest, journal, take a walk to the nearby temple or famous terraced rice fields, explore along the river, or visit the hot springs. A late afternoon restorative class will include either Yin yoga, MyoFascial Release, Yoga Nidra, and breath work.

Immersing in Nature allows you to quiet down and reconnect to your own true nature, and in so doing, understand yourself more clearly and honestly. It is a way to reconnect with your true, divine Self-that which is Love, Radiance, Presence and Grace. Gifting yourself this time of self-love and self-care allows for a redesign in all of your relationships both at home and in the world.

We will also enjoy scheduled day trips to take a SUP yoga class, attend a jewelry-making workshop, and visit Ubud, the spiritual hub of Bali.

The island of Bali, also known as the Island of the Gods, is one of the most spiritually and culturally dense areas of Indonesia. As the only Hindu island, the Balinese people take pride in their religion, full of rituals and prayer, chanting and doing daily offerings to the gods. When you come to our Bali retreat, you too will immerse in rituals and mindfulness activities that will awaken spirit and allow you to step into your life in a more embodied, more loving and ever present way.

About Alicia

Alicia Cheung has been teaching for 33 years, starting with fitness classes at the age of fifteen and later teaching yoga when she was only twenty-one. Her love for the human anatomy and spirit led her to getting a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine and studying four levels of craniosacral therapy. She has done over ten courses in Vipassana meditation and has taken several mindfulness-based courses including the eight week MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) training. She currently teaches 50/100/200 hour yoga teacher trainings and retreats in Bali, Morocco and Fiji.

Alicia loves and lives life to the fullest and thoroughly enjoys sharing her knowledge and expertise to students all around the globe.

About Alina

Alina Grecu is a popular fitness and Pilates trainer and yoga teacher, certified through YogaWorks and Samdhana Yoga in Vinyasa Flow, Yin Yoga, and MyoFascial Release Therapy. She has lead retreats and workshops in Romania and has also traveled to India to further her studies. Alina's passion for teaching and understanding her own body and journey allows her to facilitate others in doing the same.

Please note this course will be taught primarily in English, and on occasion, translated in Romanian.
